I presume you'd answer
But do I seek an answer?
I seek the comfort of not knowing.
I seek the blanket of lies you would tuck me under,
It would keep me warm,
So warm,
I would suffocate
My suffering will feel sweet,
The tears I hide may seem a fair receipt,
While the question cuts deeper in my throat
Perhaps I knew the answer all along,
Wouldn't questioning a fraud make my love false?
Would you surrender the lie,
Or make me believe anew?
Maybe I would ask the question
If I knew,
If I Knew
You'd keep me close to you.
