I would love to drown

How dare you call to me,

O mystically silent ocean.

Your lustre,

Your magnificence,

Your silence,

Obscure and divine.

Your call, o so seductive,

Taunting me with that cold embrace-

Far from all the agonising heat of the world.

Yet, did my God not tell you I cannot swim?

Yet, I yearn for your embrace.

O to be so far from this benign existence.

O to be set free.

O how the unknown caged bird,

Comes and goes.
