Liar

He loved poetry

but it was not in his destiny

He was enrolled in medical school

and alas! He felt like a fool.

He thought that it was fine,

to just bite and lie.

Stethoscope stifled him

scalpel bled his soul.

He could not survive it

He endured so.

He thought that it was fine,

to just smile and lie.

He considered his other half

who could never be enough

And pretending is poisonous

slowly punishing their love.

He thought that it was fine,

to just sigh and lie.

His melancholy maimed him

As well willing to let his child dream

Because he knows what it costs to lie

when you have borrowed your wings to fly.
